TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS

LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS Support the Alderman Scholarship Initiative that is awarded to students based on leadership and civic commitment to others and their surroundings. GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS Support students who are completing advanced stages of their educational paths, pause their professional careers, or who study concurrently with full-time jobs. DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP Support students who will become tomorrow’s faculty with resources for professional development, conference travel and research support.
ENDOWED VS. ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS An endowed scholarship lives in perpetuity and provides a steady stream of spendable funds that are produced from the original investment. Depending on the level of investment, an annual scholarship supports one or more students from three to five years. With a minimum gift of $1,000 annually, these scholarships provide a minimum of $500 per semester. MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS Support high-achieving students through merit- based scholarships based on demonstrated academic achievement.

NEED-BASED AND UNDERSERVED SCHOLARSHIPS
Support students who qualify in these areas based on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications for need-based and underserved populations.
COST OF GRADUATE PROGRAM Approximately $35,000 (39 credit hours) for both M.A. and Ph.D. programs respectively.
COST OF DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP $1,000 per year will support professional development activities for a doctoral student.
